Pennsylvania Court Overturns Fine For Dawdling Motorists
Pennsylvania’s dawdling motorists and left-lane bandits now have less need to worry about ever being pulled over. A three-judge appellate panel on Tuesday sent a message to law enforcement by overturning the conviction of a 62-year-old man who was fined for driving 17 MPH below the speed limit on an lightly traveled interstate.

Florida: Car Rental Companies Settle Deceptive Toll Fee Complaint
Car rental companies in Florida have been surprising out-of-state travelers with massive toll-related bills. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday announced a settlement that will force Avis, Budget and Payless to stop hiding the daily fee the companies have been charging renters who find themselves on a cashless toll road.

Federal Stats Overstate Role Of Speeding In Fatal Crashes
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) last week released the agency’s latest analysis of speeding-related traffic fatalities in the United States. While the document concludes that speeding was a factor in 27 percent of fatal traffic collisions, a closer look at the underlying data show that only one-fourth of these “speeders” were actually exceeding the posted limit.

Belgium, France, Latvia, Russia: Speed Cameras Scorched, Swiped, Sprayed
Vigilantes in Jurmala, Latvia torched a speed camera on Tuesday. According to the state police, several tires placed around the base of the device were set on fire. Vigilantes in Leningrad, Russia, grabbed a mobile speed camera from the side of the M-10 highway in the Tosno district last week Monday, Neva Today reported.
