House Bill 1915 is pending in the House Transportation Committee. If enacted this bill would expand the use of speed cameras to so-called “city park speed zones” and “hospital speed zones.”
The NMA opposes this bill since speed cameras do not improve safety, burden responsible motorists with unwarranted tickets and raise many due process issues. Learn more about the problems with speed cameras here.
