UPDATE January 4, 2021: Bill died in committee

HB 352 was introduced to the House on February 4, 2019. It has been assigned to the House Transportation Committee which has not scheduled a hearing yet.

The bill is a collection of amendments to the referenced sections of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes. Some offer modest protections for drivers, such as no government agency is authorized to mandate ticket quotas by police officers, while others would establish a pilot program for the use of electronic devices, e.g., photo radar, for speed enforcement. The use of photo radar, particularly when combined with speed limit postings that are below the 85th percentile standard, promotes enforcement for revenue rather than for safety.
