Senate Bill 920 is under consideration in the Senate Transportation Committee.
The special provisions SB 920 would grant bicyclists include being able to proceed through a stop sign or steady red signal with caution only after yielding the right-of-way to all other traffic. The NMA supports giving bicyclists this ability with the stated requirement that the bicyclist yield as necessary and take full responsibility for the action of proceeding through a traffic control device when not having the right-of-way.
