Senate Bill 629, designated as the Speed Limit Sanity Act, requires that speeds limit on certain limited access highways be determined through a traffic engineering survey based on the 85th percentile speed of free-flowing traffic. This bill is currently under consideration in the Senate Transportation Committee.
