Assembly Bill 3105, known as the Motorist Fueling Choice and Convenience Act, would give service stations the choice to offer self-service gas pumps. The measure wouldn’t force all pumps to be self-serve. Rather, stations would be permitted to offer full-serve, self-serve, or a combination. It is pending in the Assembly Commerce and Economic Development Committee.

The NMA supports this measure because it gives New Jersey motorists greater choice in how they operate their vehicles. It also makes filling up the tank a bit cheaper, which is more important now than ever.
