UPDATE May 18, 2021: Died in Tourism, Infrastructure & Energy Subcommittee

Bill 6009 was introduced to the Florida House on Dec. 7, 2020 by three Republican representatives. The legislation would repeal certain provisions of the Mark Wandall Traffic Safety Program, including striking the right of state counties or municipalities to authorize the use of traffic infraction detectors, i.e., red-light or speed cameras, on roads under their jurisdiction.

The NMA opposes the use of red-light and speed cameras for a number of reasons. Click the embedded links for more information.
