To date, the state of Michigan does not have speed cameras or red-light cameras. State law has mandated that law enforcement witness violations. The new laws authorize speed cameras for use in affected areas when construction workers are present. Owners of vehicles found traveling at least 10 mph above the posted speed limit will receive violation notices in the mail.
