For Los Angeles Area NMA Members,
Please take some time in the next two weeks to look at two plans that have the possibility of changing the motoring landscapes in Los Angeles County in profound ways.
After you read the plans, we encourage you to attend any public meetings and/or write comments to mail or email or an email portal your thoughts about either plan.
The first concerns the updated Zero Vision Plan for Los Angeles County that can be accessed Here. It might take some time to load so please be patient. The overall website for LA County’s Vision Zero can be accessed Here.
The Feedback Portal Form can be found HERE and they are asking for comments per page FYI. You also may contact them with comments via email: VisionZero@lacounty.gov
or by letter:
Los Angeles County Public Works
Attn: Traffic Safety and Mobility (Vision Zero)
PO Box 1460
Alhambra, CA 91802-1460
The NMA believes that Vision Zero is a financially unsustainable program that promotes lower default speed limits, road diets and traffic calming and blames motorists (no matter what) for any accident that occurs between a car and pedestrian or bicyclist.

The second plan is from Metro, which is looking for comments for their Public Participation Plan that is part of their Title VI Program Update for the Federal Transit Administration. This is the group that is discussing congestion tolling, and other funding ideas for transportation for the 2028 Olympics. Important for motorists to be involved in commenting on anything that is public.
