North Carolina: Traffic Stop Must Be Based On An Actual Violation Of Law
Two years ago, the US Supreme Court upheld a traffic stop in which the motorist had done nothing wrong. Repubblica Bari reported that the deeply unpopular device had sparked a petition to the local government demanding an increase in the speed limit. The camera was carefully positioned in a short stretch where the limit is lowered from 50 km/h (31 MPH) to 40 km/h (25 MPH).
