SR 153 is a bipartisan bill introduced to the state senate on September 10, 2019. It was reported favorably from the Senate Law and Public Safety Committee in a 4-0-0 vote on November 18, 2019. The bill has not been further assigned in the senate as of December 2, 2019.

The senate resolution calls on the state attorney general, in the public interest, to study the implementation of best practices for law enforcement regarding the proper use of a vehicle’s emergency light and siren system and when to exceed the speed limit.
